If it is your first time applying for a nonprovisional patent application in the US, the US Patent Office is offering free expedited examination for the first 1,000 applications that request it.
As of today, the US Patent Office has given free expedited examination to only 13 patent applications so there are plenty of spots left.
You must still pay for the patent application, but you will be pushed to the front of the line and your patent application will be looked at within a few months instead of the normal year or more.
To qualify:
- It must be the first time you have applied for a US nonprovisional patent application (you still qualify if you have filed provisional patent apps in the past)
- You must have a gross annual income in 2022 of less than $212,352
Having a patent application pushed to the front of the line is normally available for all patent applications for an additional fee of at least $868, so this is a great program to allow a first timer to have their patent application reviewed quickly for no additional fee.
We still need to prepare your patent application and our fee to prepare and file a nonprovisional utility patent application can be found here: Utility Patent Application
We will write your patent application and then submit it with a request for first timer expedited examination. No guarantee you’ll make it into the program as only 1,000 applications will get in, but it’s worth a try since there is no additional cost to the normal fee to apply for a patent.
Contact us if you are interested in applying for a nonprovisional patent and it is your first ever nonprovisional patent app. We can enter you into this program so your patent app is reviewed faster by the US Patent Office.
Not available to previously filed patent applications. New applications only. Some additional terms apply and not everyone will qualify.
